Painted Faces

The children had so much fun painting their hands and making Mother's Day hand prints that they wanted to do it again. A few of them were a little apprehensive that we wanted them to get their hands "dirty" and covered with paint when we were making the presents, but they soon warmed to the idea and wanted to paint their arms and faces, too!

 Impressive goatee, Ryan!!

"Hey guys, am I putting this on right? I can't see..."
 Shay's hands, after...
"I feel pretty, oh so pretty..."

 The painting table, afterwards...

 Caught red-handed...literally!

Happy Mother's Day!

The babies painted their little hands and made handprint art for their Mom's this week. We "stamped" their hands beneath a sweet Mother's Day poem and framed them in white frames. The words to the poem are listed below...

Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls
But everyday I’m growing up
And soon I’ll be so tall
That all those little handprints
Will be hard to recall.
So here’s a special handprint
Just so that you can say,
This is how my fingers looked
When I placed them here today.

Happy Mother’s Day!
