Droid and iPhone Mobie App!

Baby MacBean is in the development stages of a mobile application so that parents can stay connected to their children throughout the day.  Parents may log in at Tending Tots.  Your user name is the e-mail address at which  you receive notifications.  If you don't know your password or need help logging in for the first time please ask Miss Claudia to walk you through the steps.

Now parents can know which Montessori lessons children have completed, when they are eating and even when they are taking their naps.


The web portal allows parents to control which information they want to receive.  You can see the photos and videos that your children are tagged in.  It's a great way to stay connected to your most precious people throughout the day!

Parent feedback is vital to a successful application so if you have any suggestions or feedback PLEASE let us know!

Easter Party

Here at Baby MacBean we were delighted to see everyone that was able to come to the Easter party on Saturday. It was so great to have an exciting egg hunt, food, and meet and see the live bunnies and ducks :) It was such a blast for us to see all the children with their families and friends, and there were lots of fun pictures from the party, so please enjoy the slideshow below!

Baby MacBean 1st Annual Art Gallery Show

Baby MacBean held the 1st Annual Art Gala this weekend. We've been collecting art samples from the children for the past year and dedicated  wall space for each child to display their art. We hung the art in chronological order so the viewers could see how each child's art changed over the past year (or however long they've been with us).It was so fascinating to see the many changes! From barely making marks with a crayon to drawing heavy and colorful lines to making aggregates (intersecting shapes) to form airplanes and boats! We also hung large posters of the developmental stages of children's art, block building, bead stringing and cutting. We had stations set up for all of these activities next to the posters so parents could see in real time which developmental stage their child was at in their play. We spoke with the parents about how to talk to their children about art (No need for constant praise and "good job") and creative ways they can store the art that will accumulate over the years. It was a great time!

Pizza Party!

Baby MacBean hosted, with Miss Marla's Building Blocks Child Care, a pizza party at Pizza Pirate in Benicia. It was so much fun! All the children were pleasantly surprised to see their friends in a different setting. The parents had a chance to chat and get to know each other better, especially since some parents had never met since their children attend on different days of the week. We even had a few prospective parents come so they could meet all of us and ask questions and chat with other parents. We're so glad that everyone took the time to join us for a fun evening. We're planning several more parties for this summer - so get ready for more fun!

Halloween Party

Parents and their little ghouls and goblins were invited to a children's Halloween party in Benicia last Tuesday (10/27). They had such a fun time seeing all the other kids dressed up in their costumes, playing games, decorating cookies and going through the Haunted Maze (not too scary, though!). So glad some of you could make it and can't wait until next Halloween!
